Youth The Strength Of Nation

The greatest wealth and strength of any nation is its youth. The future of a nation lies in the hands of its posterity. The quality of its youth determines the kind of future, the nation will have. Therefore, if we want to ensure a bright future for our country, we first need to strengthen and empower our youth. The youth of any nation and society are its potential energy. They are the powerhouse and storehouse of infinite energy. They are the ones who are the pride of the nation. It is the youth which brings laurels to their country. The power of youth can be sighted only by mentioning a few names of which every single Indian is proud of, such as Sachin Tendulkar, Vishwanathan Anand, Sania Mirza, Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupati, Sushmita Sen, Aishwarya Rai, P.T. Usha, Shiny Abraham, Anju B George, Rajiv Gandhi, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Jaspal Rana, Major Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Anil Kumble, Rahul Gandhi, Dilip Tirkey, Apama Popat, Malleshwari etc. The very mention of these names fills the heart of an average Indian with pride.
These are only a few examples of all the sung and unsung heroes and heroines who have left their imprints on the sands of time and have led their country forward. In fact, we owe our present to the youth of the previous generation who forsook their everything, even their lives for the freedom of their motherland. Who can forget the great sacrifices of Rajguru, Sukhdev, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Bismilla Khan, Vijay Singh Pathik, Mangal Pandey etc who surrendered their everything for their country.
Youth make up about 34% of the total population of the country. This 34% constitutes for the country's future. If we can harness this powerhouse of the nation in the right direction then the country can reach untold heights. All we need is to direct the energy of our youth in constructive channels that lead to development and progress. The creative potential of the younger generation coupled with their zeal, enthusiasm, energy and versatility can work wonders for the country. We need to empower our youth so that they can make a better tomorrow.
The best and the first and foremost way to strengthen our youth are to provide them education. Not just any kind of education, but the right kind of education which makes them scientific, logical, open-minded, self respecting, responsible, honest and patriotic. Without these virtues being developed, our youth cannot walk in the desired way and they will remain in a deep slumber of complacency.
Unless harnessed and tapped in the right way, this very energy of the youth can tip over the other side and become destructive and dangerous for the society, crime is on high and violence is increasing in today's time. If we look at the data, we realize that our youth is losing touch with a sense of right and wrong or good and bad. This is because, as a nation, we have failed in our duty of capturing their energy and moulding it in the right direction. Due to increasing unemployment, we have been unable to keep our youth busy in constructive works. We fail to help them in realizing their dreams and hence they get lost and go in the wrong direction as the saying goes "An empty mind is the devil's workshop". We have failed poorly in this direction. The result is that nothing inspires our youth except shortcuts to making money, to achieve success and realizing their dreams. We have failed to give them the right kind of opportunities. Look at our own youth overseas - working I wonders. Why can't they do it here, in their own country? The answer lies in the lack of opportunities which they find in plenty in other countries. The loss is completely ours. A whole era of the nation will, hi a few years be empty of its posterity as a result of this increasing tendency to go abroad and get settled - called the Brain Drain of the country. It is high time we prevent our youth from leaving the country or giving into violence and terrorism by providing them better options, by strengthening them, by empowering them.
Let us focus on constructively using the power of the youth for the betterment of the nation. Let us frame such policies which aim at empowering our youth so that we can be assured of a better future and a brighter tomorrow.

THE BRIGHT INDIA – (A Dream or Reality)

“Whenever you are in a team, make sure your partners benefit more than you. Once you figure out what they want, you can figure out how you can give it to them. Every human being has needs, figure out what they want and try to make it available to her/him. That is what determines how good a people person you are. That should be the mentality of the present government leaders. The entire country is team and the concerned leader have to work according to every citizen needs.”

The dream of India the bright nation the developed nation will be the dream itself if we the people won’t take the initiative. Electing our leader was our duty for sure but taking the stand and helping out the elected leader is also the duty of every voter.   Dreams do come true if we decide we want to make it true. India is already on its way to becoming a developed country.  Howevercertain things are still lacking. Although, today the government of India may claim to be an emerging super power but the reality is quite different from what the government of India or the media of India portray to the world.

India may have progressed on paper and on screen but do we see the progress on the streets of India? Don't we still see people living in poverty? There are millions of people still surviving in India on an income of less than one dollar a day. India can never be considered a developed country unless and until the poverty, hunger and pain of the poor on the streets and those living in the slums is curbed.

Lately the government of India has come up with several developmental plans and no doubt it has helped boost the economy of the Country in some ways. But the long term impact of these plans do not seem to serve the purpose, or what should be the purpose of any government, that is, prosperity of the common man. Investment is pouring in from within the Country and abroad, but the poor man is getting poorer. The Country may boast of an increase in INTERNATIONAL TRADE, increased export revenue, but it can't boast of meeting the Millennium Development Goal of bringing down the number of poor on its soil!

In order to be considered a developed Country, India needs to focus on the common man. On the prosperity of the general public and on the living conditions that its residents have to face. Now the government has to take stands and organize a plan so that the dream will be the reality. India should be on the top wonders of world and the unity of the government and people should set an example.

Women Life In India ( Hell Or Heaven )

The condition of women in India has always been a matter of grave concern. Since the past several centuries, the women of India were never given equal status and opportunities as compared to that of their male counterparts. The patriarchal nature of Indian society, which even though gives respect to women as they are our mothers and sisters, has greatly hampered both the independence as well as the safety of women.
One of the main reasons of violence against women is the mentality which deems women inferior of men and merely limits their importance to the maintenance of the household, the upbringing of children and pleasing their husbands and serving other members of the family.
Even in today's times of modernization of society, many working women are still subjected to immense pressure to shoulder the dual responsibility of a housewife and a working woman simultaneously with little or no help from their husbands.
It is the same mentality which, some generations ago, used to think of women as mere objects of attaining sexual pleasure and a servant of the husband, who was considered "parameshwar" which literally translates to "supreme God".
Times have changed but the mentality still prevails in the mindsets of several narrow minded Indians.
Although it was a most heinous case of cruelty, it is ironical to note that such incidents are not actually rare in our country. There are several such cases happening everyday where females (from infants to old ladies, from upper middle class women in metro cities to dalit women in villages .the list can be endless) are subjected to horrendous sexual torture by lustful men who are, in most cases, known to the victims. One cannot generalize the victims or those guilty of sexual crimes in India; they come from all strata of society and from every part of India and belong to all the age groups.
Making stringent laws is necessary to ensure that the guilty in such cases get the punishment that they deserve and don't walk freely due to the weak provisions or loopholes of the existing laws. But asserting that stringent laws will be able to curb male sexual overdrive in India cannot be justified.
Unlike the cases of sexual molestation registered in police stations, there is a large portion of women in India who are subjected to rape and other forms of sexual assault on a daily basis and still their cases go unnoticed.
These women are the unfortunate wives who have to indulge in sexual intercourse with their husbands even if they don't want to (non-consensual sex is nothing but rape). They don't actually have a say in front of their husbands when it comes to sex, they have to comply with the needs and demands of their husbands.
Another category of such women who are bound to indulge in sexual activities against their wishes are the hundreds of thousands of sex workers in India who are visited by numerous men everyday and even tortured by many of their clients. They are compelled to do as their clients say as they have no other means of feeding themselves and their children other than selling their bodies to the sex-hungry men of India.
If we take account of all these women and then collectively see the scenario of sexual crimes against women, it can be easily seen that stringent laws alone cannot do much. What really needs to be done is the moral overhauling of the minds of the masses by means of education and awareness.
Strong and stringent laws are definitely necessary as the existing laws have proved to be inefficient in ensuring swift justice and appropriate punishment to the guilty. But the actual need of the hour is a revolutionary change in the mindsets and conscience of Indian men so that they stop seeing women as objects of sexual pleasure.

Lets stand and make difference, we know things are wrong but we don't react on it  lets do it ... lets stand .. Its Now Or Never ...... We The Youth Can Make Difference.... Lets Change The Bad Side Of Indian Culture.. Lets Live ... Let All Live Freely ...

Bring It On ( Magical Spell Of Life )

Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them – work, family, health, friends and spirit and you’re keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls – family, health, friends and spirit are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for balance in your life. How?
  • Don’t undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different that each of us is special.

  • Don’t set your goals by what other people deem important. Only you know what is best for you.

  • Don’t take for granted the things closest to your heart. Cling to them as you would your life, for without them, life is meaningless.

  • Don’t let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or for the future. By living your life one day at a time, you live ALL the days of your life.

  • Don’t give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.

  • Don’t be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect. It is this fragile thread that binds us each together.

  • Don’t be afraid to encounter risks. It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.

  • Don’t shut love out of your life by saying it’s impossible to find. The quickest way to receive love is to give; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly; and the best way to keep love is to give it wings.

  • Don’t run through life so fast that you forget not only where you've been, but also where you are going.

  • Don’t forget that a person’s greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated.

  • Don’t be afraid to learn. Knowledge is weightless, a treasure you can always carry easily.

  • Don’t use time or words carelessly. Neither can be retrieved. Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way.
  • A young man asked Socrates, an ancient Greek philosopher, the secret of Success. Socrates told the young man to meet him near the river the next morning. They met.
Socrates asked the young man to walk with him toward the river.
When the water got up to their necks, Socrates took the young man by surprise and ducked him into the water. The man struggled to get out but Socrates was strong and kept him under water until he started turning blue.
The young man struggled hard and finally managed to get up. The first thing he did was to gasp and take a deep breath.
Socrates asked, “What did you want the most when you were under the water?”
    The man replied “Air”.
Socrates said: “That’s the most secret to success. When you want success as badly as you want air, you will get it. There is no other secret”.
There may be days when you get up in the morning and things aren't the way you had hoped they would be.
That’s when you have to tell yourself that things will get better. There are times when people disappoint you and let you down.
But those are the times when you must remind yourself to trust your own judgments and opinions, to keep your life focused on believing in yourself.
There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life, and it is up to you to accept them.
Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you. It may not be easy at times, but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are.
So when the days come that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilities, remember to believe in yourself and all you want your life to be.
Because the challenges and changes will only help you to find the goals that you know are meant to come true for you.
Pack up Your bags lets decide we will do it . believe me you will. Go For It . Bring It On is the magical spell.

Tips That You Should Know...

Be careful when signing contracts or releases. Some contracts may require you to model exclusively for a particular agency. A lot of releases (which are more like mini-contracts that are done for a single shoot) will emphasize the photographer's right to an image, saying that they may do whatever they wish, but don't mention the model's rights. It is your image they are using, and you have a say in what is done with pictures taken of you. Make sure to discuss this before signing anything.

Know your limits on style and nudity. If you don't want to do glamour work or are uncomfortable doing full nudity, speak up and don't let people push you past those limits. Also, consider where you want your career to go in the future. Sure, you may be comfortable doing glamour now, but what if you decide you want to do fashion or catalog work in the future? You might be discriminated against if they know you have done this line of work.

If, for whatever reason, you've decided signing with an agency isn't right for you then you could consider going freelance. But be warned: the pay is usually considerably less and there are fewer safety precautions.

You can also enter modeling contests. However, make sure you check that these are being run by a reputable agency.
Some modeling schools are licensed by the Board of Education. However, whether or not they will teach you how to become a model is questionable, and some agencies even say that attending a modeling school can teach you bad habits that are hard to unlearn! They are also expensive.

Get your parents' permission if you're under the age defined by your country as being an adult.

Get a website. It helps spread the word that you're out there and also serves as a place for your adoring fans.

Be beautiful and understand yourself.

Power-Of-Youth

YOUTH AND THE WAR AGAINST CORRUPTION

The place and importance of the Youth in society cannot be overemphasized. This is adequately captured in Nigeria Youth Policy which stated that

Youth are one of the greatest assets that any nation can have. Not only are they legitimately regarded as the future leaders, they are potentially and actually the greatest investment for a country’s development. They serve as a good measure of the extent to which a country can reproduce as well as sustain itself. The extent of their vitality, responsible conduct, and roles in society is positively correlated with the development of their country.
The youth in Nigeria as in other African countries grapple with the problem of corruption ranging from examination malpractices to fraud and embezzlement just like the adults. Most of the Youth of the 70s and 80s are now holding the realms of power today and engaging in all kinds of corruption. It is therefore frightening what will happen when this generation assumes the leadership saddle. This is why concrete actions must be put in place for wining youth back to the path of puritanism and winning the war against corruption.

The meaning hereby participation of youth to have ‘Corruption Free State’ is an utmost necessary step. The same has even been recognized in India by some political leaders where, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu in his public speech called upon the youth (below 35 years) particularly those who were more interested in politics to wage a long drawn battle against corruption at various levels. He said the state is mired in corruption and only the youth can salvage the situation.
In India, every one emphasized on anti-corruption laws and policies but its actual implementation is only possible if integral building blocks of society: families, school communities, religious groupings, hobby groups, sports associations, resident associations, university groups, ethnic associations, professional associations or in short,  youth at large become an active and aware member of social movement for ‘Corruption free State.’

The social movement will unite the high enthusiasm of young people with the professional skills and experience from the older generation to create new levels of charm and productivity for the nation development. Even it will influence more young people as their fellow youth act as ambassadors of good governance, thereby giving credibility to the policies and programmes targeting them. Here, the example of Tata Tea’s advertisement showcasing young students’ fight for corruption, make him a ‘youth icon’ of the country who aware the youth about reasons of corruption. This is just a one example to show the impact of one individual on collogues and fellow friends.

In the same way films like Rang de Basanti revolutionized the thinking of youth of our country. This shows, the concern of our young generation for our country and need to take affirmative steps to make sure youth of the nation becomes powerful and determinant to do needful for the county. For this certain steps need to be taken which should be more than tools and programmes; it requires role models who inspire.

Example of act of powerful youth against corruption can be illustrated as below:

In Bosnia, youth groups have organized a number of successful campaigns against corruption. For example, they are responsible for

• Organizing a nationwide campaign against corruption;
• Holding seminars for entrepreneurs and youth to meet and develop job opportunities;
• Creating a youth parliament simulation so that young people debate the country’s current affairs.

The youth of Bosnia has not limited themselves to the awareness programmes they founded their own party for far-reaching results.  They want to make radical changes to build a less corrupt, more educated society.

And the same need to be done in India. We just need to inspire our youth and then definitely inspired and powerful youth will give us a corruption free nation. We need to fill them him with moralities and integrity. They are future of the nation. Their integrated steps and acts will give us corruption free society. We need to fill the youth with integrated values by adopting following approach:

We should not consider only youth as future of our country. We should give them a chance to be an active participant in the system or to be a key of democratic operation. This simply needs a change from traditional approach to modern approach.

The following division within a youth can play an important role to fight against corruption.

Young Politicians: The role and relation of politics with youth has already been discussed and I can say that it is the best forum to prove commitment and achieve the dream of ‘Corruption Free Nation.’ They as a role model of general public can revolutionize the whole system and fulfill Kalams’ vision-2020. A recent gathering of young Parliamentarians expressed loud and exasperated frustration on the roles of babus (Bureaucrats) in corruption scandals and immunities enjoyed by them in spite of their involvement in such scams. Adarsh Society Scam is glaring example of this situation. The gathering of young M.Ps first time publically criticized the existing system where babu has the best of all the worlds as it is impossible to dismiss them. Such an aggressive approach is a positive sign for anti-corruption fight.

Young Journalists: Press is the fourth pillar of Indian democracy. It is the most powerful tool to handle anti-national activities. A corrupt system only fears from media but unfortunately, media is also becoming a part of corrupt system. In such a scenario, young journalists may play a strategic role alongside youth organizations in promoting good governance. More than communication allies in outreach and improving public awareness of the related issues, they provide unbiased perspectives through sharp investigatory and analytical reporting, aired and published on local, national, and international media outlets (print press, radio, television, virtual press, blogs, and more).

Young Professionals: They are base of corruption free society who will promote morality, fairness, and social values by doing their work efficiently, effectively and honestly.

Young Students: Role of young students to fight against corruption can simply be illustrated by the example of Ecuador where one student decided to act against corruption and started a school campaign. The school reformed its structure making it more accountable to the students by creating school councils and student- teacher boards so students could air their ideas and concerns. The students of the school conducted a community survey and published the results in local papers. Because this campaign received so much attention, the school got the funds to publish an anti-corruption booklet for very young children explaining the danger of corruption through drawings and comics. This campaign spread to schools in other parts of the country and had a lot of impact in the community.

CONCLUSION:

In the end, different International Organizations who are fighting against corruption accepted youth’s participation as an important mechanism for the successes of their campaign. They believe youth as a part of solution of the problem because change in the system requires change from the major part and at present youth represents the major part of the population especially in India.

So, it is not wrong to assume that powerful youth will give us a Corruption free nation, but certain approaches need to be followed to assure committed thinking of the youth for their country.

Youth is a spark which can either burn or lighten the country.

Only positive approach will make sure that Indian youth will lighten the country which is under the dark clouds of bribery. It is the best medicine to procure the disease of corruption. They are not only the leader of the future but also the key factor in the present scenario who will give us a systematic and full solution of the problem.

- If we see we have solution for every question which might be cuming after reading this. But how many of us will work on it . Dont we  (Youth) should stand as even we can see its high time . Every one say the future of the country depends on the youth or the upcuming generation. But this is my question to all. If the future of the country are the youths then why are they not given the chance to run the government . I am not saying against any of the politician or party . Just a question to all we need guidence for sure but we also need to run the system to learn and gain the experience under the guidence of seniors.
- Many points are there we can have a big never ending debate out of it . See i dont want that . I just belive this is the right time to stand for the country not on only words but in action with positive thoughts . I have decided i will stand . But have a faith that many will join me.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         - Shivam Sharma (Co-owner & Editor) Canners International

A Girl Is A Goddess

The 21st century has witnessed a great rise in development around the world. Communications and scientific research are developing at a rapid pace. The world is moving toward great change in culture and lifestyle. Gender equality is becoming common in many places, and girls are achieving heights once thought not possible.
However, even as the world is moving toward progress, the age-old social evil of female infanticide still shows its ugly face in developing countries such as India.
The prevalence of female infanticide in Chellampatty, Madurai, is heartbreaking. No efforts to curb this social evil have succeeded thus far.
However, our Child Survival Program (CSP) has become a powerful instrument of God to change, eradicate and reduce the prevalence of female infanticide and feoticide in this society through adequate postnatal care and effective child development. One particular Child Survival Program doing this is aptly named “Mercy.”
Female infanticide is the intentional killing of girl babies. Even in modern India, some parents long for a male child rather than a female. As a result, they adopt different methods to get rid of baby girls soon after they are born.
Parents normally do not kill the first or second girl child. But the third female child born in the family often is killed. Villagers use every available means to kill an unwanted girl child.
Some babies are given cactus milk that acts as a poison; hot chicken soup is poured into the baby’s mouth; babies are made to lie down on wet sack cloth, and unable to bear the wetness the babies die of fits; at the time of delivery, as the baby comes out from the mother’s womb, the nose and mouth of the baby is deliberately closed for some time until it dies of suffocation, and so on.
The motive behind such a practice is the dowry system, which requires that a bride’s family pay out a great deal of money or property when a female child is married. Thus, for poor families, the birth of a girl child is seen as the beginning of financial downfall and extreme poverty. Also, a family without a male child is considered to be a family without an inheritance.
No sooner than a girl child is born, the parents begin to save money exclusively for the girl to prepare for the large sum of money that has to be spent on her as she grows up.
During puberty, a great feast is traditionally held, inviting friends and relatives. The purpose is to declare that their girl child is fit for marriage. The parents spend a lot of money for this event.
When giving her in marriage, a large sum of money has to be spent again for a dowry. Most often the dowry demanded is much above what the family can afford. As a result, to get their daughter married, parents are forced to borrow the amount, and they have to spend the rest of their lives repaying the amount borrowed.
And the cost of a daughter isn’t over with marriage. The parents are expected to continue spending for their girl child. During the eighth month of their daughter’s pregnancy, they are to hold a grand event, and the first delivery expenses have to be taken care of by them.
The parents are to put ornaments of gold on their grandchild when he or she is born, and they have to bear the expenses of an ear-piercing ceremony, another grand event to which all friends and relatives are invited. Nearly $1,000 to $2,200 is spent on average.
Moreover, whenever there is a death in the family of the girl’s husband, the entire funeral expenses have to be borne by the girl’s parents.
Because of these many financial obligations invited by a birth of a girl child, very little attention is given to girls in the family. They are considered a burden.
Recognizing the need in this area, the staff at the Mercy Child Survival Program are working to save the lives of innocent girl babies.
Initially, they identify pregnant mothers and their families and begin counseling them. The women are encouraged to accept the birth of a girl child. Awareness classes are conducted on various issues, such as family planning, reproduction, child birth, abortion, types of delivery, immunization, communicable diseases and child marriage.

Well we can say that there are many NGO working for this problem so that awareness can be spread. But my question is... does that really giving results . Working on few cases spreading awareness just to add up few more experience in the profile of NGO. I would say now we the common people have to take steps for this. I mean I can directly say this we ourselves know in a conservative family these problems are very much common. I am not at all against the culture but I am with the goddess Girl Child. If you respect my words want a change please do share this and comment. Just want to change this that’s my aim is .

A girl child is a goddess, the creator of next generation, and so many definitions we can give for a girl child, then too why our society is still not accepting the fact that a healthy and happy girl gives birth to a happy and prosperous nation. As we all know still there are such people in our society who don't want a girl child in their family, some of them get them aborted while some cruel one of them kill the little princess born in their family .HOW CAN ANYONE DO THAT? FOR HOW LONG ? WHY CANT IT BE STOPPED?HOW CAN ANYONE KILL A DAUGHTER EITHER IN THE WOMB OR AFTER THE BIRTH?THERE ARE MANY SUCH UNANSWERED QUESTIONS .
